Skydiving - THE Most Empowering Experience Ever

Plans of Skydiving in Lucerne, hesitation and eagerness, cloudy weather and a sea of clouds, mountain peaks, free falling into freedom, peace and empowerment

Are you the person who'd say yes in an instant if offered the chance to go Skydiving?

Or are you the person who'd rather wet his or her pants before jumping out an airplane?

For me it's always been something I wanted to do and so beginning summer 2020 I decided for myself that this year I will go Skydiving. As faith had it, my aunt actually had a voucher to go Skydiving and was asking in the family chat if someone wants to go. She was absolutely terrified of going herself but she said she'd join to watch.

Funnily enough she suddenly decided to jump too as my sister and I instantly said yes and our brother would have joined too if he wasn't in military. Her reason being, if we young people are so eager to do it without hesitation, she can too!

And right she was!

It was on Monday, August 31st 2020 that we finally did it. At first the weather didn't look that promising but the info channel the night before said they will go through with it the next day. No more way out now. 😉

I shared a YouTube video with my aunt with Will Smith explaining very vividly how his Skydiving experience went and that seemed to actually help my aunt. Have a look for yourself, it's pretty hilarious. 😂

The team at Skydive Lucerne was super friendly and totally easygoing. They explained the procedure and I thought that the instructions will take at least 30 minutes but no no, it only took a couple of minutes.

We had the option to get filmed too and as it's not something I do every day, I decided to take that video! I mean, I need proof of that for my future kids. 😄 You can watch the video yourself at the end of this post.

The flight up was pretty cool. The skies were still very much clouded but once we passed them - well we all know what it's like to be in a plane over the clouds! 😍 It was just so beautiful to see that sea of clouds on one side and on the other side the mountain peaks breaking through the clouds. It looked pretty spectacular. 🤩

To be completely honest, on the way up the tingles of anticipation started to appear and I did get a little bit nervous. 😁 Soon it was time to open the door and the first few divers jumped out the airplane like it was nothing. It looked cool though, all of them holding on to each other to create some kind of formation and jumping together.

So yeah, we jumped out of a flying airplane, and holy crap, let me tell you! It was absolutely out of this world amazing! I mean yes, the first or so second in air I was like "Oh shiiiit, Sabbu what are you doing?????" 😱 But I swear this passed just as soon as it came up and all there was left was joy, happiness, freedom, awe, amazement and so, so much empowerment.

There is honestly no space for anything else! No fear or anxiousness, there is no time to be terrified. All you do is being present, enjoying the moment.

Flying through the air in a free fall for about 50 seconds, feeling the air swishing past you and letting out a few laughs and cries of joy in between. Just as fast as it started, it all ended too - time seemed to fly past like the air flew past us.

Opening that parachute and gliding through the clouds was an other experience which was so worth it. All of a sudden everything slows down and is quiet. This feeling of peace is so calming and of course, having an awesome view over the lands below is just beautiful.

To be frank, I had a huge respect for the landing but even that was so very smooth that I didn't even remember what I was worrying about it in the first place. And yes, my aunt made it too! She was so thrilled and excited that she would have gone a second time right then and there.

Now tell me, if she was absolutely terrified to jump but had the time of her life, can't you do it as well? 😉

Really, this is something I recommend to ANYONE! Whether you're scared or not, that feeling of freedom, peace and empowerment is something that everyone should experience at least once in their life.

Watch the video below and let it speak for itself. 🤗

Sabbu ❤️
